SEA's Action Plan
- Designed highly engaging website with educational games, factoids, online diaries and teaching resources.
- Provided a stunning live image of nesting peregrine falcons.
- Published live and archive data from the nest site enabled children to correlate changes in environmental conditions with Peregrines' behaviours.
- Automatically archived and uploaded video footage (based on motion detection).
- Streamed raw data and live image streaming through to ornithologists, enabling them to study and comment on peregrine falcon behaviour remotely.
Travel Highlights
- The website captured the very moment when the eggs hatched and the very moment when the Peregrine chicks fledged seven weeks later, both of which were automatically uploaded to the BBC microsite just a few seconds after they occurred.
- Viewer response was amazing. We created an experience which captivated the imaginations of 19,000 viewers on a regular basis, which was considered a terrific success by the BBC.
